"It's always lightest just before the dark...."

Based on the 1952 novel The Killer Inside Me by Jim Thompson
Directed by Michael Winterbottom and starring Casey Affleck

The late great Stanley Kubrick said of 'The Killer Inside Me'
'The most chilling and believable first-person story of a criminally warped mind I have ever encountered'.

And none other than Stephen King says that Jim Thompson is his favourite crime novelist often imitated but never duplicated.

This film version was gestating for more than sixty years. The material was just too explosive and shocking to make into a movie...until now.

Cold as ice, Casey Affleck creates one of the great screen monsters right up there with Hannible Lecter and Scarface.

For the less squeamish among us, The Killer Inside Me is an intelligent and gripping take on classic film noir ingredients
